Group size only affects the mob-kill estimator; quest XP is the same for every member. To change it partway, use the Group control under the map, which adds a step at the selected point.
These kills add XP but no time: the mob dies while you keep moving. XP per kill uses the average level of the mobs along each walking leg and your group size. Lower = more grinding (a priest dotting and running might be ~100 yards, stopping to kill everything ~40).
Walking is 7 yards/s; from the mount level (above) 11.2. Add your speed increases here: Ghost Wolf or Travel Form (20:40, the default for shamans and druids), Pursuit of Justice ranks, and so on. In a group, the planner moves everyone at the slowest member's speed.
Only your own Complete steps (not sticky, partial or pinned). Click 🔗 on a step to keep it separate.
Killing: DPS = (DPS per level) × the group's total level (solo: 2 × your level; duo: 2 × both levels; trio: 1.66 × all three). Time per kill = mob HP ÷ (DPS × (1 − mob armor reduction)) + downtime (solo only) + search time when grinding. XP per kill is split between the group (×1.166 bonus for 3, 1.3 for 4, 1.4 for 5); quest kill credit is shared, and so is a quest item you need only one of; items you need several of are looted one each, so a group kills that many times more. Walking 7 yd/s (11.2 mounted from the travel-kill mount level), flights ~32 yd/s, boats ~2.5 min, hearth 25 s, 5 s per NPC.
Uses your group size at each step. Dungeon mobs give their Era XP (elite ×2) divided by this number; 3.5 mirrors the dungeon quest boost and fits 20 XP per player from a level 16 mob in a 5-player group.

Grinds only as much as needed so that, with the XP from the steps in between (e.g. a hand-in), you hit that level right after the chosen step: ready to train or pick up a higher quest. The amount updates when you change the route.

For quests that aren't in the Questie database yet, including most new Forever quests. The XP is added when the step is reached.
Objective numbers in .complete follow Questie's order (kills, objects, items). Check them in-game on quests with mixed objectives.

To load a route: choose Open file… or paste a route file here, then Import. It is added as a new route.
Add your own screenshots of the in-game zone maps and they'll be drawn in place when you zoom in. Crop each screenshot to the map artwork only, with no window frame, so it lines up with the zone's edges. Images stay in this browser.
Paste a guide or choose a .lua or .txt file. Files with several RegisterGuide blocks become separate guides. The guide is drawn as a ghost route you can join and leave from your own route.

The planner keeps a copy of your routes each day you open it (the last 7 days). Restoring adds the routes from that day as copies; nothing you have now is removed.
Plan questing routes for WoW: Forever on a map, then export them as RestedXP guides.

RestedXP guides are not included. You import your own copies; they stay under RestedXP's licence (CC BY-NC-SA 4.0), and exported routes that contain their text carry that licence too.
